As Dr. King mentioned, critical thinking affects not only the way we act and think as a person, but also our characteristics. I have just recently gone through a situation where I had to make a crucial decision which strengthens both the way I see myself as a person and also the way I think in the future. When I was in the fourth grade, I had the privilege to move to Singapore as the country provided a much higher educational standard than that in Indonesia. Reflecting back, I am glad to have spent my teenage years in Singapore and proud to have been an exceptional student in my high school. I won awards for my excellence in mathematics and was able to score a ten point on my GCE O Level. In addition to all that, I also befriended many incredible friends. Admission to LMU is selective. Academic record is the primary consideration. We take time to evaluate each application individually and consider not just what you have done in the past, but what your accomplishments suggest you will achieve in the future.

- To request a fee waiver, please submit via Common Application or LMU online application.

Submit a letter of recommendation with your application.
This should be from an official at the last school you attended, preferably your counselor, a teacher, your principal, or the Dean of Students.
Send your Official Transcripts to the Office of Admission.
All applicants must submit high school transcripts. Transfer students must also submit transcripts from each college or university attended. Advanced Placement students must submit official AP test score results to receive college credit. Freshman applicants must also submit final high school transcripts before school begins, showing your high school graduation date.
Have your test scores sent to the Office of Admission.
Scores must be submitted directly from the College Board (SAT) or the American College Testing Program (ACT). Transfer students who have completed 30 transferable semester units are not required to submit standardized test results. October and November test results will not be received in time for Early Decision or Early Action consideration.
Financial Aid Deadline
February 1 is the deadline for freshman applicants to submit the FAFSA. Early Decision applicants seeking financial aid must file the FAFSA by November 15. Please visit our Financial Aid page for more details.
Checking Your Application Status
Once you apply, you will receive instructions for logging into the LMU Application Portal where you can monitor the status of your application. You will also be notified when your application is complete. Please be aware that submitting documents through the Common Application is a two-step process. First, your school submits your forms to the Common Application. Then, we import them in to the LMU system. During peak volume periods, such as right around November 1 or January 15, this can take up to a week.
